Can I turn an audio track into a midi track?

So I have been looking all over the internet for this one. Still no answer I have an audio track with a bassy kick that won't work the way I want it unless it turns into a midi track. Because as an audio track it can't overlap audio- I can't have two of the same sound (with sustain) happening at the same time. Please Help

Right click on the audio clip with the kicks, and choose Convert Audio To Midi.
