I'm trying to setup Ableton link using a drum machine app on my iPad (Patterning). I was able to setup the audio coming from the iPad using a lightening cable and enabling it using Audio Midi Setup.I established sync using Ableton Link.
The audio coming into Ableton from the iPad is delayed however, I presume from latency incurred by the lightening connection. I can achieve sync using the mini jack out from the iPad, however for simplicity and to maximize fidelity, I'd like to be able use the lightening cable.
Has anyone found an easy way to manage this situation so that the audio coming in from the iPad is perfectly in sync?
