Set up MIDI input with split point to seperate right hand from left hand

Ideally, I would like to play piano into Live, set up a MIDI note split point whereby my 'left hand' notes go into a seperate MIDI track from my right hand. Any thoughts on a simple solution?

I believe you could arm both tracks, put both instruments in an instrument rack and modify the key zone under each racks chain list so they exclude each other :

you could also do both instruments in the same track if you just want different instruments
