My apologies if this is already somewhere on the Forums, If it is please send me the link to reference.
I am running Ableton 10, Push 2, Apollo Twin for my audio interface and I just picked up a Roland TR-8. After finally getting the drivers downloaded and the firmware updated II was able to get some functionality going on the TR-8 by connecting it to my iMac via USB connection. But I do not have full functionality, I can’t use any of the Tune, Attack and Decay knobs or the faders on it just the sequencer. I don’t know if this is possible with my set up, but I’m basically trying to use the TR-8 simultaneously with the PUSH 2 where the TR-8 is used to make/record my drums into Ableton and the PUSH 2 is where I do my sampling, chopping, chords, bass lines, etc.
I found this guys videos on YouTube, but in his set up his audio interface has a 5pin MIDI connection and as many already know the Apollo doesn’t have that option on the back. I’ve attached 2 videos for reference, one is showing what I would like to do (minus jamming on the guitar) the other is showing a set up that may work for me but I don’t know how to get around the 5pin Midi when using the Apollo.

Any info/help on this is appreciated!
