Extracting beat splicing data

Post by mikesolomon » Mon Oct 19, 2020 5:41 pm

I imported some Rex2 files into Live and it is able to split them using the metadata transient information just fine.

I was wondering if there's a way to export the split information so that I can use it for further processing? Ie to a text file with markers. The markers appear just fine as little light-gray tickmarks on the dark gray bar right above the waveform in the sample visualizer (see the attached image), so it's just a question of exporting the information. My current solution is converting to MIDI, exporting that and then analyzing the MIDI, but that feels a bit hackish - it'd be easier for me to work with the raw markers with respect to the audio file.

Thanks in advance for any help/ideas!
