Macro update for Live 11.2?

The macro updates for 11.0 is great, however it is missing one of the most important update requests in my opinion:


Macros would be so much more usable if we simply could set the range of the parameters within the macro range.

For example to make a sequence of different fx with the turn of one knob, or to make a classic dj filter that sweeps from lowpass to nothing to highpass.

To make a one knob dj filter macro with for example eq8, or 2 filter plugs, we would need to set the full range of the LPF from 0 to 63 on the macro, then set the HPF full range from 64 to 127.


This would be super handy and usefull on so many levels! For example I would need half the macro count on my current custom channel strip rack, and it would make almost every knob more flexible at the same time.

Like the dj filter vs lp macro and hp macro, or compressor and limiter on the same macro; one to the left, the other to the right.

Yes, thats one of the reasons I dont hang out here so much anymore. Getting older.
