basic navigating in session view.

Post by Nerdflanders » Wed Dec 16, 2020 4:10 am

I'm trying to over dub a section via a guitar to a track and I don't want to have to start the track from the beginning every time.
How do you forward or back a track in session view?
Is it better to do it in arrangement view?

You can't really technically go fwd or backwards on Session View.
Arrangement makes this easy, and you could even loop the desired section and keep recording.
Also, nearly unrelated, but Live 11 with its take lanes will be a nice help in this (doing several takes and using their best parts).

THANKS FOR your reply.
How do you navigate in the arrangement view? I have tried everything to grab the cursor and fast forward or back but it doesn't work.

You don't need to grab the cursor. You left click with your mouse on any track where you want to position the cursor and the cursor positions itself at that place.
