Free De-clipping Plug-Ins. HELP!

Post by gallagherf » Sun Dec 20, 2020 12:38 pm

Hey guys! I have an amazing vocal take which really caught the emotion in the moment- BUT THERE ARE PARTS THAT ARE CLIPPING I KNOW KILL ME QWDBQÖBCQÖIBCUZQ.
Anyways! As Im a low budget amateur Im desperately searching for a FREE de-clipping Plug-In. :( (Or any other way to get rid of the terrible clipping disstortion)

There are some blogs suggesting apparently " free" de-clip Plug ins- but they are NOT free. (None of them)

PLS HELP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

You could download the demo of Izotope RX.

Might be hard-pressed to find anything for free.
Izotope RX works, but I've found it has to be kind of harsh for it to work.
E.g., I mix music for my living, and every time I've found something on a track that's slightly distorting and I've tried to fix it, it won't help, but stuff like more harshly clipping dialogue, it does a decent job.

Hmm, that sucks.
You could do it the hard way, by resampling it.
Maybe check Accusonus' demo versions. I only know their denoiser which is quite good for quick fixes, but I'm pretty sure they have a de-clip.

Ah! You mean just using the demo version and then resampling so I have the effects of izotope and they "dont know" I used it? how smart!

Well, there's nothing wrong with doing this.
