Hello everyone
Hope you are all healthy!
I was wondering if anyone has made a comparisson of which Daw is more Cpu efficient when using 3rd party plugins?
Is there a difference in CPU usage efficiency at all ?
Live Vs Reaper Cpu difference-efficiency with 3rd party plugings?

No point, all have their own pros and cons. Use what suits your workflow.
Live 11, M1 Mac Mini, Push 2, Scarlett 18i20 & ADA8200, Softube Console 1 Mk2, Deepmind12, Hydrasynth, Cobalt 8M, Moog Subsequent 25, IK Uno Synth Pro, Plethora X3, Nord Drum 3P

I am asking if you use the same 10 3rd party plugins in both daws if one will use less CPU .
I am not looking for a comparisson of the features and workflow of the Daws

Still no point, as each DAW will handle those plugins differently, as they allocate threads to cpu cores is different for each DAW, there is no hard and fast answer. 1 plugin may work efficiently in 1 DAW but not the other and the next plugin vice versa.

Now we`re getting somewhere.
Thanks for the opinion

Someone probably did a test (if not probably easy to set one up yourself as Reaper can be demo'd for free).
That said Reaper is usually considered one of the more CPU efficient DAWs and Ableton is usually on the other end of the spectrum.
Much of Ableton focus is on having uninterrupted audio streams, where you can make edits in DAW while audio is playing and not get Pops and Clicks (something which could be detrimental in a live performance). Some of that probably use more CPU cycles. This is a generalization too as well as like the previous poster mentioned certain DAWs will have issuses with certain plug-ins while others won't due to their implementation or (bugs or lack of thereof).
