master / slave sync problem

Post by 8 fold » Tue Jul 26, 2005 2:29 am

we're trying to sync two laptops. here are the problems:

At certain points in the performance the bpm will briefly speed up or down and then go back to normal after a few seconds. simultaneously the bpm's will double on the slave machine. Any ideas?

ps
we're working with windows and live 5.0.1

please help

how are you syncing them? do you have up to date drivers(for an interface) if it is through midi? if it is through software on LAN maybe the software sucks? Broken midi cable?

idk describe what u have and are using and maybe someone could help u better.

i'm curious to know about this as well.

in the very near future, my roommate and i will be doing sets together both using Live 5, 2 laptops, and a pair of M-Boxes so sync to each other via S/PDIF.
