Beyond the Lines: PB867 12" or 15"

hi there !
just thinking about buying a new powerbook ...
in the apple store i´ve seen the specs:
12": ... MB DDR266 - ... GB Ultra ATA/100-Drive - NO L3 Cache - NVIDIA GeForce4 420 Go 32MB
15": ... MB SDRAM - ... GB Ultra ATA/66-Drive - L3 Cache - Radeon 9000 Graphic
L3 vs DDR & ATA 100 comparable ?
Which one would you choose under the aspect running live at gigs + using it in the studio with a 2nd monitor ... MAX: OF POWER NEEDED !
