New to Ableton and I'm having an issue with playback syncing when I use the little speaker to select an area of a midi clip to have playback jump to during a song in Session view.
Here is the scenario, I record clips (4 bars long) of bass, drums and electric piano then I select a clip to record solo piano. I do not set any loop time for this clip but just click the little record circle in a new clip for the solo piano and record my solo for many bars, maybe 100. Then when I listen back from the beginning, all is great and in sync BUT when I go to my midi solo piano in the piano roll and select a measure say 70 with the little speaker, playback starts but is out of sync with the other tracks. It should catch up and play correctly, right?
Of course I can copy all the clips to the arrangement view but I'm am just tracking several piano solos and want to edit sections in the piano roll.
Any help would be appreciated.
