Selecting Macro Variations with MIDI commands
I was watching a video from Youtuber "fromstudiotostage" called "Ableton Live 11: Macro Variations" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G9ur9EKQQWA) and at 9:52, after activating the MIDI Map Mode Switch, the "Play" button for each variation is clearly marked in blue, meaning it can be assigned a MIDI command. Which he does, by the way. Now, I use Live 11.0.1 and when doing exactly the same thing, the "Play" button for each Macro Variation is NOT marked in blue, meaning that it is not possible to assign a MIDI command. What is the reason for this. Is this guy using an unknown version of Live 11 or did they just take that option away? You guys at Ableton, please explain!!!

Re: Selecting Macro Variations with MIDI commands
Seems like this option was removed prior to release due to a bug. Oh well, I hope that they sort this out and release an update with this option reinstated soon...

Good news! I found strange that this mapping did not exist... On the other hand, mapping both "variation launch + variation down" to the same button, allows to loop through all variations with one button., not bad.Steaming T wrote: ↑Thu Mar 18, 2021 8:16 amSeems like this option was removed prior to release due to a bug.
