Hey everyone.
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to install and save plugins on an external SSD hard drive and put the plugin path (VST folder...) in Ableton setting on the external hard drive?
Do they then work without problems?
Frees up more storage space...
Full storage.

Re: High CPU Spikes / Full Storage_Plugin extern?
I think you can install them to any folder of your choice, then make a shortcut that points to that folder, and put the shortcut into the normal plugin folder. I didn’t use an external drive, but I did that to corral all my existing plugins for use in Ableton, since it didn’t allow me to choose as many folders as I had.SNRS wrote: ↑Fri Apr 16, 2021 6:32 pmHey everyone.

Also make sure your USB does not shut down to conserve power. Go to settings and adjust.
