Sudden Latency

Post by parkerallanknepp » Thu May 13, 2021 5:26 pm

So I'm not new to audio production, been doing this professionally for a few years, and 3 years before that. All of a sudden my ableton midi controllers have latency. It doesn't matter if I change buffer size, the latency stays the same. I have a Focusrite interface as my ASIO device. Driver Error compensation is on, right now I'm running 10 just because 11 gives me CPU problems, but latency happens in 11 as well. I also have a Apollo twin thunderbolt that still has the latency. I assume I must've did something inside ableton itself. Not sure what though, please help!

Computer is a PC with a i7-8700 CPU, 16gb ram. Should be plenty powerful enough to play some hi hats without delay.

Do you have a CPU intensive plug in somewhere in your project like the master channel?
