I'd give them a scratch mixer as well as standard mixers, considering they ARE from hip hop background. Other than that, they're just basic dj's i think.. but if they were willing to accept me as a table to rest their record players on... gimme a shout...

Typically whatever is written into their contract. When they played in Las Vegas on memorial day weekend they used standard in-house gear (Technics and Pioneer).

Glad to see they use the Technics 1210s for the full range of options open to the modern DJ... somewhere to put yer CD's...

They only use CDJ-1000s. As for a mixer, the safe bet is an Allen & Heath.

I recommend you give them a mixer without kill switches. Or eqs for that matter. I saw them a couple of years ago, and although I had a good night and I enjoyed some of what they did, there was one hell of a lot of eq masturbation. Every eight bars roughly. Drove me gaga in the end.

I just handle the production for them in Boston... Can't say that I'm keen on forwarding their rider to anybody, but you can safely bet that they prefer either...

Pioneer: DJM1000 < #1 Choice for them
Rane: MP2016a with Extension
Allen Heath: V6 **only** (they don't like the xone:92)

They actually tour with a DJM1000, but I can't promise that they will always have a working one ;)

Theirs crapped out just before the gig. I would imagine that Pioneer has sorted them out already though.
What is that? A .38?

38, 39, whatever it takes.

hey mosca,
I did indeed hear DD in the Arches, but if it was 2001 then I'm really getting old, seems like a couple of years ago. :(

Arches has slumped the last few years IMO. Nothing beats the Sub Club sound system, I love getting knocked over by the bass in there...

Going to see Luke Vibert on Friday at ye olde art school ?

ok, i'll still supply a CDJ-800 and a DJM600 and they'll have to live with it.

Besides in their technical rider (which i have now seen) they have the mention of a Pioneer CDJ and would use the DJM 600 as their 3rd preference so i am on line with my stuff.

Of course anywhere else the club would look for CDJ 1000 and DJM 1000 but in Saint Tropez, where i just saw two Porsche GT behind a Mercedes SLR Mc Laren, there is apparently a MASSIVE lack of rental equipment, thus i am getting into the game every now and then. Will also be supplying Roger Sanchez in August as well...

Thanks for all for the infos.
