I swear this used to work but doesn't in Ableton 11.
I'm trying to rename the clip but NOT the file. I rename and click the save icon on the clip. Next time I drag the file in, warp markers are there (proving .asd file is being generated) but the clip name has reset to the file name.

Re: Rename clip and not file
Fair point, that wasn't clear. I want to rename the clip but not the mp3 file.
I rename the clip and save the clip (little save icon), then remove the clip from the project (or just close the project). When I drag the mp3 back into a project, the warp markers are still present but the name of the clip has reverted to the mp3 name.

Re: Rename clip and not file
Maybe you have to drag the saved clip and not the mp3 ?
Re: Rename clip and not file
You don't save the clip when doing so, but the audio file's properties (e.g warp markers).abletonuser93 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 09, 2021 9:40 amFair point, that wasn't clear. I want to rename the clip but not the mp3 file.

To save a clip (with e.g its custom name) you need to save it into your User Library.
