Re: Midi 2.0 implementation in Ableton
I have a guitar synth pickup that gets in some ghost notes when i play which is pretty frustrating and why i dont use it much. What kind of memory allocation is needed for a midi 2.0 configuration?

This other video from the same YouTube channel (it is the official MIDI Association YT channel) implies Apple, Microsoft and Google have to implement MIDI 2.0 in their their Operating Systems before the software running in those OSes can truly implement it as well.

Also, not sure there are even class-compliant MIDI 2.0 USB drivers for Windows or Mac yet for any USB hardware to interface with MIDI 2.0 in software.
I also read people saying there are no specs for the actual MIDI 2.0 files, that is, there is no standard yet to how MIDI 2.0 notes and CC should be recorded, so no DAW or sequencer can implement it (kinda the whole point of MIDI in a DAW is recording and sequencing, but even real-time manipulation may not be possible yet).

Ah yes the resort to personal attacks, maybe take a hint from your own advice, dont reply if you do not like others opinions, thoughts and facts.
Resorting to personal attacks is never wise, or best step forward, sorry but I will not be dragged down to your level there fella!

Looks like developers/early adopters have a long way/wait ahead of them. Will be interesting once it gets widely accepted, but will take a good number of years yet. In the meantime, I'm happy with MPE for nowpottering wrote: ↑Sun Nov 21, 2021 5:51 amThis other video from the same YouTube channel (it is the official MIDI Association YT channel) implies Apple, Microsoft and Google have to implement MIDI 2.0 in their their Operating Systems before the software running in those OSes can truly implement it as well.
