Hi!
Simple MIDI question here.
I'm an elementary school teacher and my class works with one instance of LIVE. Right now I can hook three MIDI interfaces through USB, using all my laptop's ports.
I wondered if there would be a way for me to hook all of the ten AKAI mini have to LIVE. I have several USB hubs, would that work? (I'm not at school right now and it would be useful for me to know today). Or else, daisy chaining? Some midi splitter thing?
Please let me know if you know a way.
Thanks!
Jf
You know a way to hook 10 MIDI controllers to LIVE?
Re: You know a way to hook 10 MIDI controllers to LIVE?
Either method should work, for some reason my gut says going with 5-pin midi would be more robust in a classroom situation although it could cost more to setup. You will need to buy midi cables, but you probably already have the usb cables that came with the keyboards, so all you may need is a good hub, worth a try.

Thanks!
I'll try the USB setup and see how it works.
I'll report the result, thanks again.
