MIDI to Audio
If you create a midi track, I know you can set an audio track to record the midi output. But what I was wanting to do is to be able to record in an audio track while I play a midi so that as I'm making changes to the midi track I want to record it in real-time instead of having to set a bunch of automations. This way I can slice down the parts that I enjoy and use them. Any help would be appreciated.
Re: MIDI to Audio
Does this do what you want?
There is a MIDI track with an instrument or drum rack and some effects called - MyJam
there is a an Audio track called MyJamCapture.
The input of MyJamCapture is set to MyJam. This works because the output of MyJam is audio since there is a drum rack or instrument making sound out of the MIDI input you are sending it.
Setup MyJam so that you can play the instrument of drum rack and hear what you are doing.
Set MyJamCapture to record and press the transport control record button.
Play away and press Stop when done.
There will be an auto recording on the MyJamCapture in arrange view.
This also works if you want to record clips in Session view you just need to click on the record button on the clip rather than the main record button.
