For Behles, that independence isn’t just for now. Sitting in the Ableton office, he elaborates on the company’s vision to never sell out
Music to my ears.

Nice. I never regret buying Ableton. Knew nothing about it before I bought it other than Deadmau5 and The Prodigy uses it, and that was enough for me 8)

Found this funny article about "richest Belgians".

https://derijkstebelgen.be/nieuws/nieuw ... ljoen-euro

Google translate:

https://derijkstebelgen-be.translate.go ... _tr_pto=sc

Image-Line's founders (Frank Van Biesen and Jean-Marie Cannie) sold a majority stake (70% it seems) and got 40 million EUR each, enough to land them on that ridiculous 1-percenter list of "richest people in Belgium".

Image-Line was valued at 228 million EUR.

From that, I believe Ableton would be valued at least 500 million EUR. Probably more.

(EU companies have to file numbers in public registers, anyone can check those, I did, Ableton is quite bigger than Image-Line)

That gives an idea of how much money the Ableton founders (Behles, Henke, Roggendorf and Bohl) turned down.

PUT SOME RESPECT IN THEIR NAMES.
