Record External Audio Effect Latency Free

Post by andihausi » Mon Nov 29, 2021 12:07 pm

Hi!

I am using External Audio Effect to send a track through an external digital effect. What would be the best way to re-record this signal back to ableton? No matter how I try the signal that I record back has a slight offset. This latency/offset isnt there when I am listening to the track with the external audio effect on it.

Any suggestion on how to print the track latency free?

There will always be a degree of latency as takes time for anleton send audio to your external effects, which is then processed by the external effect, and then sent back for your interface to convert then onto ableton to record.

Play with your monitoring I direct monitor so latency is minimised, try monitor in or off avoid auto.
