How to set a project default tempo

Post by gkurtenbach » Mon Dec 06, 2021 9:55 pm

I'm new to Live and I'm very interested in Tempo Follower.

I want to set up a project so that even when I am using tempo follower it resets to a specific tempo every time I restart playback,

Right now, if I set the project tempo to 108 bpm and then play with tempo follower on and end up at 110 bpm. When I start playback again the tempo remains at 110. I would like it to reset to 108 as the starting tempo.

I've tried adding a tempo of 108 at the start of tempo envelope. Still Live ignores when I restart playback.

I've found that clicking on Re-enable Automation before restarting playback does reset the tempo to 108. But that turns off Follow.

So doing another "take" of a tempo following a performance requires me to press 'Re-enable Automation" and then turn"Follow". back on

Is there a way to set things up so "Reenable automation" and "Follow" are enabled when playback from the beginning starts?

thanks!

Did you try using a Scene to set the tempo? (I didn't try, so it's just a guess)
