[Help] Audio-Visual representation of individual sources within a mix

Post by VitaminZeth » Sat Jan 15, 2022 9:32 pm

Hello,

I posted this question here as well for I think that this can not only be used for Max4Live applications but also for visual learning experiences for Sound and Music Production on Ableton.

I saw this one bloke who was able to code a visual recreation of their sound using a library that he links in his video.

I was hoping to get some help trying to come up with some Max4Live device that allows me to add in sound sources (like individual stems from a mix) into this device in order to realize them in a 3D spatial representation. This idea was also used to represent mixes in this very old production video:

I planned to use this for when I teach mixing concepts and stuff. I was hoping to have it be good at representing the amplitude of the sound, Panned location, possibly the psychoacoustic phenomena of height when EQ'ed specific ways, etc.
