A few people have mentioned using Flac lossless compression. If you wanna make flac files, or decode them so you can use them in Live, you could try this freeware app on Version tracker - OSX only I'm afraid.

These guys made FLAC they have their own conversitool for Windows, OS X, Linux, Amiga and Solaris (not the movie.. which had a great soundtrack by the way)..
