Hello
I come from another DAW, and I find that Ableton has good enough plugins for basic music production (equalizers, compressors, reverb)
So, are you agree that Ableton's equalizers and compressors are good enough for music production and mixing?
(not for mastering)
Cheers
Are non-native Ableton plugins necessary?

Definitely!!
Live devices are fantastic, easy to automate, don't add latency (except for a very few ones), they don't break after an update etc...
And if you feel short, there's M4L devices.

When I’m using Live, I pretty much only use it’s built in plugins these days, they are more than adequate.
