Techno Live Setup | Elektron Digitakt Octatrack Digitone Analog Heat 1010 Blackbox and Big Sky

Just watched a cool vid about setting up (mostly) elektron gear for live techno performance.

Some great ideas and none appears impossible to implement in Live. Multiple drum kits & longer samples unit fed into a space processor made me laugh at the challenges hw folks are still faced with, but tangible access to critical parameters without juggling menus - that's an ideal worth pursuing.

As I think which minimal set of controllers would suffice to replicate that setup, a launchpad or push for clip triggering, then an apc40 for triggering sampler stuff (that would be the 1010bb), special effects (and turnado comes to mind but there was some additional hardwiring done so that effects would apply to channels selectively) and midi 'blockers' for drum sounds so that they do sustain once triggered.

CPU weight would depend on the plugins in use (with some freezing where possible) but the complexity of the project might make it sluggish.

What are your experiences?
And is ableton used in such ways by any known live performers?
