Automating Plugins on Group Tracks

Hi,
I am not sure if I just don't remember but I am having a group track with a plugin on it which I want to automate.
As I am not having a midi track for the group itself I created another midi track and set the output to the group track and choose the plugin as destination.
Unfortunately inside my new midi track in the menu envelope I can just choose midi controller instead of seeing the plugin I am aiming at with its parameters. Do I really have to look up the midi cc of the plugin and send those? Isn't there a way of getting all the parameters of the plugin displayed? I even defined the parameters I want to automate under configure within the pluginwindow of the plugin on my grouptrack.
To make things a bit more transparent - I want to use the plugin looperator from sugarbytes on my drumbus and want it to ba active just for the last 8th Note.
I know that I have done that before but I don't remember how.

Any reason you can't just automate from the Group Track automation lanes?

Ohh man I am so stupid. I forgot to swith to automation view. Sorry for asking such a dumb question. Just redid my system.
