Hi ableton family
right now i use this M4L device called "P4R Arm-Me" (i mentioned to the guy about this artifact some months ago, but he didnt respond, should be very busy)
In ableton when switching record arm on midi tracks, in the track that is recording audio continuously, a gap is created in the audio file being recorded, it starts a new audio file with a tiny gap. i can patch things up but its not ideal
so the setup is various audio and midi tracks. then i force arm this one track, and the person does speaking/singing through out. and during that live hour long take i am switching record arm from various instruments. playing different synths etc. I could use "shift record" i guess but if i miss once and start missing the main track it will be bad
