Audio Interface When Playing Out

Post by Kraddy » Fri Jan 31, 2003 5:01 pm

I'm running Live 1.0.1 on a G4 Powerbook and I'm just using the headphone jack as an output now.

I wanted to know what interfaces people are using to play out and record in.

I've been using the M-Audio USB Quattro. 4 ins, 4 outs, all quarter inch. Midi In and Midi Out.

It works really well, when it works. Occasionally I have problems with the damn thing uninstalling itself, but that seems to happen when I plug it into a different USB port than I usually use (???). Very strange.

I should say that it's about 1/2 the price of anything similar. That said, these minor annoyances are worth be able to sample from two different sources live, in stereo, playing in sync with our synths, and be able to monitor independently from the master.

the grifiin imic baby! nothing better for the money...actually, there's nothing else for the money, better or not. not exactly a protools hd system, but it fits in my gig bag and that works for me. i've also used a tascam us-224 and it gave me nothing but love.
