Audio Interface change: DO i have to rerecord?

Post by obiwanjakobi_ » Thu Feb 02, 2023 1:55 am

Just wondering if i have to RE record any audio that was recorded, for instance, in MME/direct x if i were to switch over to ASIO?

No, once recorded it's just audio, regardless of source. The only reason to rerecord would be if your new input method sounds noticeably better, but that's up to you to decide.

No, it's the driver type used to communicate between your audio interface and your computer. It should have no effect (outside of latency) on what you actually record.
