Live 11 cant load vst and au presets?

Post by ze2be » Tue Feb 07, 2023 4:31 pm

All the way including Live 10 we could load vst and au presets straight from Lives plugin device container for 3rd party plugs. Not anymore. Now we can only save the vst preset.

Why is that?

In general it was a nice quick way to load presets without having to search for each plugins separate preset folder.

I think it depends on the VST - for some its possible for others not

The mystery continues.. Now it seems to work! The load button on the vst device window re-appeared after re loading the plug. Lost the preset though.

Bazzism vsti which is my go-to kick for edm production. Had a lot of issues with it lately. Also U-he Uhbiks which is my go-to 3rd party fx package wouldn't load, and I lost a lot of pre-settings there too.

Well I spoke to U-he support and it turns out the Uhbiks does not support Apple Silicon yet, so this is a mac issue for newer macs. They load into Live 11 but might not open next time you open the project, or if you transfer it to another computer which I did. They said it will be updated soon, and that all their other plugs already are updated for it.

I suspect there is some similar situation with Bazzism.
