it looks like the mouse is designed to reduce the amount of finger movement required. Fingers are deisgned to move in limited ways, and I can understand why they are trying to limit that motion.
I suspect if you moused a lot with this mouse you may become very popular with your woman.
interesting also that there is a speaker for 'audio feedback' in the mouse... which could be great for feedback.

Pobably not
i use a four no sorry 7 buttoned mouse logic wireless with a mac on ableton live and the buttons dont work with any of the knobs - just get a midi controller or keyboard - a mouse is a mouse i dont understand why poeple feel the need to only buy mac made products when there are plentty of alternatives. a one buttoned mouse is like having ableton live without it developing and changeing into what it has become why dont you just stick with aLive 1.0.
But they do look good!

Well, the one button mouse was silly, but this one is even more silly imo. It took them 20 years to release a two button mouse, and when they finally do, the PR let you think they just invented two button mouses. Thats just retarded. And whats up with the cord? Jesus, thats so 99.
Get the Logitech MX1000 instead. Best mouse ever made.

Agreeing with Song Carver....
The one-button mouse was a mix of form and function. Studies suggest that repetitive injury was lessened using the one-button mouse because the depression of the mouse uses the wrist muscles (larger and stronger) rather than several quick movements with smaller muscle groups (each finger).
That and Steve Jobs stubborn nature.....
