Please help me!

I just got my new shiny Macbook Pro this last weekend and just installed live5.

It has the 2.4ghz duo core processor, 4GB Ram, and the 7200rpm internal drive...

however, live absolutely will not run. it's using 100% of the processor running it thru the mac's sound card/drive. when i run it thru the computer's output the test put it at like near 200% cpu load which is pretty fucking ridiculous since i just spent 3,500 bucks on this computer.

please help!

i'm on msn messenger at bryan@thebarrows.org

or email me at bombdizzle@gmail.com

universal binary - as in , you are running the old IBM series version of ableton Live - the version that is not for your newer Intel processor.
when you get version 5.2 , or greater (such as version 6) you will find that you score somewhere between 5% and 6% , possibly less.

you have a mac and you haven't noticed talk of universal binary versions over the last 18 months?

I don't know man... Just got it last night and am a life long PC user so I'm trying to figure out how to use it... :) Can't figure out how to uninstall that version of live now... Do I just drop it from applications to trash?

Yes, or just drag the new version into the applications folder and overwrite the old one.

Sweet stuff man, fun times are ahead...

on a completely unrelated note, how fucking stupid is it that the usb connector/sync cable for my PDA doesn't charge the phone, only syncs it... Lame!
