fade causing clicks, bug or not?

I notice that the fade doesn't prevent a click. but in my opinion it should because it adds a little fade-in and fade-out to the sounds. but it's still clicking! I mean, a real digital click, a 'this is not a o-db crossing' click.

do I need to drop it on the bug-board?

First make sure it isn't a problem with the end of the loop being offset just a little. I had that problem earlier today

yes, but that's not the case. I used complex mode as well. no changes to loop settings or weird things.

I remember I once had a loop that played just fine without clicking in Sound Forge but in Live (could have been v4 or even v3, it was a while ago) it clicked when the Fade button was on. When I clicked Fade to 'off', it looped without a click, just like it did in Sound Forge when I edited it!

Unfortunately I'm not sure where that loop is now and I haven't been able to recreate this behaviour since, but I can say from experience that it does sometimes happen.

it would be great if we could see the effect of the fade on the enveloppe. maybe a future feature request
