A couple of questions :

1) If developing VST audio plugins obviously parameters are controllable from the chain view using sliders. However, is this hackable to make use of Ableton's built in UI widgets or is it only the parameter view / custion UI?

2) I noticed that the mackie control implementation is via a slew of *.pyc compiled Python scripts. Are the uncompiled *.py files available if I ask nicely so I can hack up, er, 'customise' the support?

generally I think it shows up dressed in Ableton garb complete with canvas control but if you press the disclosure triangle it'll show the designed ui.
