I've got a motu 828 and I tried to do it work with the live 1.1 demo on Mac OS 9.1 and it doesn't work. I'm planning on buying live but I need to know if it is going to work with my motu 828 and also what operating system I need to use.
This weekend i'm going to have my new iBook for doing my live gigs. Do I need to use system 9.1 of mac os X with live and my motu? My next gig is only a month from now and it really has to work out well till then.

Fear not! It is definitely possible -- it works fine for me in OS 9. I've got a g4 powerbook and an 828. Don't forget to copy the 828's ASIO driver into <Live Install Dir>/Resources/ASIO Drivers/ and make the appropriate change in Audio Preferences. There's no OS X driver yet for the 828.
