If you're in any way capable of routing sound back into the input of your soundcard, and do some sort of monitoring of the rest of the signal - ie the collaborators - you should be golden. And once you've got the timing down on hitting start in live, you're good to go. Then it works just like start/stop manual sync between two local computers, afaik.
