Wigets are apps that run under osx tiger, this one's a little text to voice converter with a cool accent. i guess I'm the only person that got her to talk dirty to me...shame on me

It kinda sucks that it only uses one voice though.

The apple voices are kinda cool.
But i really miss "racter" from on the amiga. That one still rocks :!:

I dont know about tiger, but in 10.3 you could type in Text Edit, and automate the "start speaking" command with a button Combo, through Keyboard and Mouse Prefs.

Then you have tons of voices through the sound prefs.

I use it live all the time.

text to speach on Mac Os was used extensively way back then 1996 or so...no one remember (FarmersManual, AddNtoX and many other Mac based Electronic musicians used it) complete overkill - 1998 (I think)

but still a neat little tool and if anyone does some java programming try FreeTTS...
