Endless Endless

Post by David » Sun Aug 28, 2005 8:38 pm

Hi folks,

Just put on the Kraftwerk Album Trans Europe Express. I bought this album when I was in my first year of uni in London, I was 17, 10 years ago now 8O . The track Endless Endless never ceases to amaze me. I know no other track like it, it has a distinctive sound all of its own which somehow manages to capture a sense of time, probably past, but also evokes optimisim for the future. A perfect song for a certain mood. I'm off to listen to the other side now!

Cheers :D

My girlfriend threw Autobahn song on today while she was driving. It was very wierd, as she is German/Serbian. It was a sort of odd reinterpretation of what I imagine is a common activity in Europe.

It is really wild how different aspects of the same few songs can be traced as founding different electronic genres, ie: techno and house. Mind-numbing, and a nice chaser on our way back from seeing Monolake.

yeh thats right. Everyone in Europe is listening to Kraftwerk in their cars. In fact I think it was going to be part of the new EU constitution which is thankfully dead in the water. A bit like your post really

I don't want to hijack this thread or I would go into detail. I already talked about it in the stickie.

It was a very nice environment, everyone was startlingly beautiful, and the music was very enjoyable. Art was around too, which enhanced my experience. Monolake conveys a very positive energy in music and presentation.
