Recording the crowd during your set...
how is this accomplished while playing your set?..is it a lame as sticking a mic towards the crowd...there must be a cleaner way...?

i recorded the crowd once....just pointed a mic at em
dumb ass me put the mic tooo close a speaker with the input level too high so it was pretty much distorted with the bass and everything.... anyway it sounded weird with the mono mic recording a live set...
but - it was usefull - i just added the crowd on breakdowns and other less busy parts with the bass rolled off and it sounded fine - i think if ya played a mic mix alongside the sequenced live data it sounds terrible - loads of phaze effects etc.... ya best either recording a perfect mic - or just adding abits like i did
or somethin
