Sidechaining in Live

Hi, quick question here.

I wanna sidechain compress my bassline with kick as trigger. So i put Waves C1 sc on bass and then i want to route my kick signal on Bass. But i dont see any route advices there (on In/Out at session view) ! What did i do wrong?

i don't actually have the waves plugin you mention, but i've used a couple sidchaining things with key input.
the best bet is to create a separate audio track with the input ('audio from') set as coming from your kick track. this taps the kick track without muting/silencing it. set this tracks output ('audio to') to go to the plugin with the drop down menu and you should be good to go.
