Automat GUI crashing Live 4.1.2

Post by marky » Wed Sep 07, 2005 2:21 pm

Given the amount of praise given to Automat on this and other fora, I decided to give it a bash in Live, but I'm having a serious problem with it which I have not heard of from anyone else. I use a Powermac 2x 2.3Ghz with 1.5G RAM on the latest rev of Tiger.

After placing Automat into the audio components folder, Live boots fine, and appear on the channel when I drop it in. I can play the preset sounds fine (and it does sound good), but when I attempt to pull up the GUI, it crashes Live straight out with a "ApplicationLive quit unexpectedly".

Wondering if it was a Live problem, I tried pulling Automat up the GUI in Logic 6.4 and got the same result - it quits Logic out too...

... Anyone else had this experience with Automat? I'm dying with jealousy here about the free ride that everyone but me is getting!

Thanks

Thanks for the response.. I might well get in touch with him if he is so responsive. I can't believe I'm the only one with this problem... most of the setups I've seen posted seem very close to mine. I wonder if it doesn't agree with some of my other plugins <looks suspiciously at NI Battery >

That's a good point too Chris, might try that out tonight... though it probably wouldn't explain the same problem happening with Logic.
