Ableton is the nu chick
Ableton is the nu chick
I sleep in a studio.
Every morning i wake up hearing the guy i work with vocally jacking off to Ableton.
I am a girl... and you know what?
Ive never heard a guy be so into a girl, let alone a sequencer.
I think Ableton is the nu chick.

Maybe to gain back the man's attention, over ableton's attraction ???krank wrote:Why the heck do you sleep in a studio?slagroom wrote:I sleep in a studio.

Notice it's merely 'the guy i work with...'.amo wrote:Maybe to gain back the man's attention, over ableton's attraction ???krank wrote:Why the heck do you sleep in a studio?slagroom wrote:I sleep in a studio.

I call big, bad troll - though not without a certain clumsy charm.

Yep, I've had a pretty passionate affair Ableton since we first met in 2002. I saw her on the back of a magazine and have been fascinated ever since. We've had some good times together, some great times, some crazy times, and yes even some bad times. I guess we've had our ups and downs. I like the way she makes nice noises when I push her buttons.
And now after several years I think I've grown in the relationship. I've learaned a lot about myself on this journey. Some things good, some things I need to change. You know, I said some things I shouldnt have, but hopefully she'll forgive me. Maybe its the 3 years itch. There's currently no competition though so she has nothing to be worried about. We may not live happily ever after, but there will always be a place in my heart for her.
The End (for now)
Thoughts from a Friday afternoon, close to finishing time.

I am sleeping in our studio until i move into my own house.
I have another month of ooohs and aaahs from "the guy i work with' (he's in my band ya know?).... he kinda talks about this German girl a bit, but he talks about his German sequencer alot more.
I like sleeping in the studio!
Since ive been there has been no excuse to spend the day at the park in the sun drinking beer, which means more music.

So how do YOU feel about Live?slagroom wrote:I am sleeping in our studio until i move into my own house.

He never lets me get anywhere near her.... but sometimes when hes not around i do.
I like Live.
I like the way Live makes me sound.
I like learning how to use it.
I like the tutorials... they are really simple.
I like the happy clip colours (not as much as him)
I like making demos on it because you can do some amazing crazy sound mixes that you can't with vinyl and cd.
I like the clip envelopes.... it was a good day when i discovered those!
yeah its cool

Well.... im not German (the sequencer is, yes)... maybe you would be the guy im talking about ... if i was talking about guys....FORMAT wrote:I'm also German, sleep in my studio, have a German sequencer running on an American laptop..... could it be that I'm the guy you're talking about ?!?!?
But yes, we do have alot in common in regards to sleeping arrangements.
Perhaps the "guy you work with" has managed to find a way - using Ableton Live - to solve the age-old problem of "how to loop an orgasm".
