Is there a limit on plugins in vstdirectory

Is there a limit of plugins live can read from a pluginfolder.
I got a lot of vstplugins. Live gives me an error about reading a plugin. I remove it from the folder, and I get an error about the next one. So it looks like a problem of loading a certain number of vstplugins.

Give us some more info about sytem etc. if you're just pointing Live at your current Plugins folder from Cubase for example, it can't use Cubase-specific plugs and VSTis. This will cause what you have seen-I had to go through a process of building up a specific Live plugs folder by trial and error

I run live on a Winxp P4 2,5G. I didn't have problems with Live 1.5 pointing it to the Cubase/vstplugins. It looks like a 2.0x problem or the number of plugins increased (limit?). I get an error trying to load sampletank(why should it be loaded , it is a vsti). I removed it and got another error. So I took all the effects to a seperate vstfolder and could start Live again. This a workaround.
