Imogen Heap uses Ableton

Post by stereomike » Fri Sep 30, 2005 9:21 am

Hey if anyone cares, I just saw Imogen Heap in Chicago. When I talked to her after the show I was asking what software she used live and she told me it was good ol' Ableton Live. If you don't know who this amazing "saviour of pop" is, find out, your ears will love you for it.

Yeah I didn't care for anyone else on the tour but the $20 was worth it just to see her.

I'm physically addicted to Hide and Seek. I don't know why, but I have to listen to it over and over.

Was she on the OC? My girlfriend was addicted to the OC, and she introduced me to Immi. Ahhhhh, it's all so clear now, a vast conspiracy to get me to admit in public that I like music featured on that crappy show.

Good thing I broke up with her then. :D

I saw her on Carson Daly the other night. The camera did a sweeping pan around behind her and I saw Ableton Live running on her laptop.

She is great! Love her music.

she was on letterman, and she did well... which is good for all of us. One man bands unite!

She was actually quite busy throughout, triggering, looping choir-bits and playing synths and harp (?) as well.

she f*kin kicks ass!!!! I'm such a fan!

(actually listening to her new album right now)

i'm still blown away by the fact that she did all the production/programming/mixing on this album herself. amazing work!

I just missed her in Boston

Post by eblomquist » Fri Feb 03, 2006 11:59 pm

I recently missed her in Boston, and I'm pissed... I am also addicted to Hide and Seek... Glad to hear she's a Live user... She was recently profiled in Keyboard, and they had screenshots of Toe Prools, which she was talking about using... Hmmmm...
