current sample playing fades with new sample played?

Is there a setting to make the current sample fade (with a user selected time) when a new sample is played? If so, can this be done with any samples relation to another?

I haven't messed with Live very much at all so i don't have the answer to your question. I do agree that it would be nice to have some sort of "decay" time that you could set. I also think it would be nice to have a corresponding "attack" setting for fading in a sample when first toggled.

does that already exist?

maybe use automation, but that's not convenient.
