help me pick a DJ name

Post by atomic » Tue Oct 11, 2005 8:59 pm

Well I am a happy camper as I just landed a new job as the resident DJ for a established friday night gig. It is a retro kinda evening. The cowd is very mixed. Gay and straight, he's and she's from late twenties to early forties. So If anyone has a good name for a DJ they can spare let me know!

Thanks

Atomic is pretty cool. But make sure it's not DJ Atomic, which is REALLY cheesy. Just Atomic by itself. If you want to go pretentious, then perhaps AtomiQ or even aTomiQue. It's a fine line...

LOL ya that would be the obvious choice but atomic just seems a bit to "Techno" for a retro night. Dont you think?

The other thing is that I have uese that name to spin techno, but that was over a year ago so that has most likley been E'd out of the mindes of thoes who where there. Hmmmm

And ya no "DJ atomic" Just atomic for sure

If you've used atomic in the past, stick to it...people will remember. Brand recognition is a good thing.

As for it sounding retro or techno, I think it can pass for both. It all depends on how you look on the flyer. Put on a shirt with an old school atom from the periodic table of elements or some shit like that, and you're retro. Change it up to look super modern, and it's techno. It's all in the marketing and the spin.
