What kind of performance were you able to obtain?

It will perform, if the wind is blowing in the right direction, about on a par with a 1Ghz PIII laptop the like of which can be got now secondhand for peanuts.
> no one?, oh well wouldn't it be nice...
Yup, another humdinger of a bargain from the Apple stable.

I feel you would be better off with a Ti because
a - they don't have any cache limitations
b - bigger screen---> more tracks viewable w/out scrolling
c - more interface options (pcmcia)
d - OS9, which is still important for those among us who use NI products and such
That's all I can think of right now - don't know of any performance tests in audio yet, if I were in the market for a low-end Mac laptop, I would get an iBook.
Definitely not overpriced and it will get you through gigs, as proven by many artists using these machines (Jelinek, Akufen, ..... the list goes on)
