heat and Live
Hi,
Do you have experience with it? I am a bit worried about the heat it will generate, and I don't know how it performs for audio.
thanks... I keep it in mind

I just got my...
Dell Inspiron 8200 (2.2GHz, 512 DDR, Intel Chipset). it has very good performance. recently i just use the internal soundcard which is very dusty and hummy in sound if you work with power supply. but this you can get rid of if you disable the ground (not recommended but often used on stage:-)
now i wait for new soundcards from the musikmesse frankfurt...rme is too much expensive...there has to be a less expensive solution (also for prelistening which is most important for me)...
and i´m not shure about usb devices...like the emi or m-audio- or whatever...
cheerz,
spacy

i just got a ProStar 8854 (same company as Sager) and I love it. Desktop P4 2.4ghz, 512mb, 15.7" screen, 60gb 5400 rpm hd - for US$2100. Best deal out there. Will be getting an external hd just for my loops.
It's better to get a pc right now - performance is better than a mac using Live, and much more bang for your buck.

There's also a new Dell Inspiron 8500, with 1920x1200 wide screen LCD. Imagin how much Live tracks you can fit on this screen
